INA and FAG Expand F’IS Services Network in the UK

PRAXIS Partnership Alliance of INA/FAG and Corus Northern Engineering Services creates comprehensive Condition Monitoring Offer in the UK

Herzogenrath, 29.03.05 – INA and FAG Kugelfischer are significantly strengthening the position of their service subsidiary, FAG Industrial Services GmbH (F’IS), in the UK by entering into a service partnership with British Corus Northern Engineering Services (CNES), a division of Corus plc., one of the biggest steel manufacturers worldwide. Based on many years of expertise of both companies, the new PRAXIS partnership alliance offers a comprehensive range of condition monitoring products and services, including services such as vibration analysis and diagnosis, acoustic emission monitoring and infrared thermography as well as the proven FAG products for early fault detection. This offer ranges from the mobile Detector II introductory device and the Bearing Analyser III with automatic diagnosis mode via the extremely efficient DTECT X1 system family through to the PC-based VibroCheck vibration diagnosis system for the permanent online monitoring of up to 2,048 measurement points. Based at Herzogenrath, F’IS has been working in the field of online condition monitoring (CM) for many years. CM is considered to be the most reliable method for early fault detection. It helps avoid costly consequential damage, enables the scheduling of maintenance operations and increases plant availability. As a rule, online condition monitoring systems are deployed for the surveillance of machines and equipment where downtime causes extremely high costs (e.g. paper industry), where damage can progress rapidly (e.g. high-speed machine tools) or where damage represents a potential danger for humans (e.g. ship propulsion systems).

FAG Industrial Services (F’IS) will make online condition monitoring the focal theme of its participation in this year’s Hanover Industrial Fair from April 11th to 15th, 2005 (INA-FAG Booth A34 in Hall 22 as well as VDMA Booth A18/1 in Hall 24).
