Simplified Management Of Machine Related Information And Communication With FAG DTECT X1 s And FAG WiPro s
Herzogenrath, April 27, 2010. FAG Industrial Services (F’IS) presents two compact online systems for reliable and cost effective machine monitoring – the FAG DTECT X1 s and the FAG WiPro s. The two new systems are improved versions of their successful predecessors, FAG DTECT X1 and FAG WiPro. The individual modules – the monitoring unit and the multiplexer – have been integrated in a single, conveniently sized device which offers a high degree of flexibility. The online monitoring systems are used for permanent vibration diagnosis of machines and plants whose shutdowns cause high costs. The FAG DTECT X1 s is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications whereas the FAG WiPro s is ideally suited for the wind power industry.
The two new online monitoring systems FAG DTECT X1 s and FAG WiPro s are characterized by their small size, high degree of flexibility and optimal accessibility of all components. Their dimensions (260 x 150 x 90 mm) and standardized connectors (M12) make them suitable both for installation in switch cabinets and in other industrial applications. Unlike their predecessor models, they unite all modules in a single compact housing. The integrated multiplexer permits the recording of signals from up to eight sensors. The FAG DTECT X1 s as well as the FAG WiPro s can save up to 16 different monitoring tasks and execute them automatically. Both systems have been designed especially for use in harsh ambient conditions (IP67 protection / temperature ranges from -20 °C to +70 °C) and reliably identify the main vibration conditions that can cause an unplanned shutdown of a plant. These include damage to bearings and gears as well as misalignments. If a specified threshold value or alarm limit value is exceeded, the systems trigger an alarm. The data can be analysed directly on location at the central control station. Alternatively, the data can at any time be retrieved from any other location via TCP/IP communication and analysed either by the customer or by the F’IS Teleservice Center. This enables operators in any part of the world to make changes in the parameters that are needed, for example, to carry out measurements for a current problem.
The FAG DTECT X1 s has been designed for use in many different industries and applications – from gearboxes to compressors to rolling stands, mills and drives. The FAG WiPro s, by contrast, has been developed especially for monitoring tasks in the wind power industry. It is used, amongst other things, for monitoring the main bearings, gearboxes, couplings or generators in wind turbines. Thanks to its integrated overvoltage protection device, it can be adapted in an optimal manner to a specific application’s specific requirements. Additional advantages for customers: The FAG WiPro s is based upon its predecessor which was certified by the Germanische Llyod and ackknowledged by Allianz Zentrum für Technik (AZT). A recertification of the new FAG WiPro s is currently being conducted. This allows insurance companies to offer FAG WiPro s users more favourable insurance conditions. Also, the F’IS Teleservice Center has been certified by Germanischer Lloyd.
