Bearing mounting training under realistic conditions
Herzogenrath, July 16, 2009. FAG Industrial Services (F'IS), responsible for the worldwide service business of Schaeffler Group Industrial, has opened an application-orientated training center on the factory site of the Schaeffler Group in Schweinfurt. Highlight of the new training premises are training platforms with industry-specific large- size bearings. These training platforms allow mounting exercises based on practical applications and contribute to a maximum training success.
The new F'IS training center offers latest training facilities on an area of 500 square meters. The premises are divided in two areas for theoretical and practical trainings.
At center stage of the practical premises are the training platforms with industry-specific large-size bearings from the paper, steel and mining industry as well as a gearbox. These platforms allow to customize mounting trainings according to the customer's requirements. Thereby original bearings with an outer diameter up to 850 millimeter are at the participant’s disposal. As the participants decide themselves on which training platform they like to work, a maximum of practical relevance and training success is ensured. Another fact that contributes to the training success: The trainings take place in groups with at most five persons and are led by experienced trainers.
"The new training premises allow us to enlarge our training program considerably in future. Especially the training platforms with industry-specific large-size bearings enable us to train customers under more realistic conditions", explains Ines Gläser, Product Manager Training at F'IS.

Condition monitoring trainings as well as customer-specific trainings on further bearing and maintenance topics are also available.
